Sons of Light Motorcycle Ministry [Website, Facebook]

Sons of Light is dedicated to bringing the love of Jesus Christ to the world and, most specifically, the biker community. Staffed totally with volunteers, 100% of all donations are used to buy supplies for our events. Sons of Light sets up a "church" tent at Daytona Bike Week, Cherokee Survival rally and the Buffalo Chip at Sturgis, South Dakota. During these events we prepare a free pancake breakfast every morning. Al and several others are ordained missionaries and perform wedding, baptisms, Christian counseling and any other type of aid that is needed. We operate on funds provided by supporting churches and individuals.

Campus Christian Fellowship, Appalachian State University [Website]

Campus Christian Fellowship at Appalachian State University is a mission to help college students develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them to develop into the men and women He desires them to be. We do that through a weekly large group meeting with worship and biblical teaching, small group Bible studies, one to one discipleship, community service, retreats, and mission trips.

Appalachian Christian Camp (Camp ACC) [Website, Facebook]

One of the great things our area has to offer, that you may not even know about, is Camp ACC, the summer camp ministry of Appalachian Christian Camp. Appalachian Christian Camp has been located in Limestone Cove in Unicoi for over 40 years and has been ministering to the youth of our area for 75 years.

Camp ACC is a non-denominational Christian Summer Camp for youth entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. The camp program begins in June and continues through the summer. Camp ACC teaches Christian principles and values in a fun and exciting way that challenges today's youth. While Camp ACC is a church camp, you do not have to be a member of a church to attend.

All programs and activities take place on the Camp ACC campus which includes a ball field, outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball court, swimming pool, gymnasium with an indoor rock climbing wall, open-air worship center, new air-conditioned dormitories and walking trails all surrounded by the beauty of Unicoi County.

East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy [Website, Facebook]

East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy is "Growing Girls God's Way."

There is a place in East Tennessee surrounded by God's awesome mountains, where children come to live, learn and grow. A place where Christ is exalted and love is the standard. In a perfect world, all little boys and girls would grow up to be responsible caring adults. But in an imperfect world, like the one in which we live, some children make poor choices or do not receive the love and attention they deserve. Yes, our children are basically good, but some have caused heartache and distress for their loved ones and schools.

In 1946, a man from east Tennessee, had a dream to build a safe haven for young people, for children seeking refuge from homelessness, abuse and neglect. Fred Smith, Jr. former preacher of First Christian Church in Elizabethton got his dream after encountering children living in a jail cell, with no one to care for them. With the help of the church's board members, and the Lloyd Morrell family, Fred Smith achieved his goal. In 1950 the East Tennessee Christian Home (ETCH) opened its' doors, providing a safe Christian environment for at-risk children. Over the past 60 years, hundreds of at-risk children have passed through the doors benefiting from the services ETCH offers.
